He frames all of this as the foundation of a coming technocratic state. Broze argues that once daily life is routed through connected devices and digital identity systems, surveillance becomes ambient and punishment becomes automatic. Financial restrictions, mobility limits, and social-credit style enforcement no longer require a visible police state — they can be built directly into the system itself. His warning is that the language of “smart,” “safe,” and “convenient” often hides something far less benign: a world with less privacy, less autonomy, and fewer exits.
