Matea Begić Alić is PhD candidate and assistant at the Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation Sciences in Zagreb. When Matea missed her entrance exam for the Faculty of Dentistry, she never imagined it would lead her to a lifelong passion for autism research. Today, she’s deeply involved in studying the quality of life of autistic adults with higher support needs, exploring the challenges families face and how true inclusion in education and healthcare can create lasting change.
